Onshore cathodic protection
Impressed current systems for tank farms, pipelines, utilities and industrial plants. Anodes engineered to the design life of the asset, not to a catalogue default.
Why onshore assets
need cathodic protection
Buried and at-grade steel is protected by two complementary methods: an external coating, and cathodic protection. Coatings are never perfect. Over time they develop defects, and corrosion concentrates at those points.
Cathodic protection applies DC current from an external source so the structure becomes the cathode and corrosion stops. Get the anode sizing wrong and the system will not last the asset's life.
Three ways to install an onshore system
The right approach depends on soil resistivity, current demand and the space you have to work with.
Deep anode groundbed
High current capacity anodes installed in a hole drilled vertically, typically 150 feet or deeper, away from the structure.
Shallow groundbed
Multiple smaller capacity anodes spaced close to the structure, either in a horizontal bed or in individual canisters.
Linear anode
A continuous anode laid parallel to and close alongside the structure, discharging current evenly along its whole length.

What we engineer for onshore projects
The specification work that happens before anything gets manufactured.
Sized to your design life
Anode mass and current output calculated against the life of the asset you are protecting, with the performance profile matched to the project rather than to a standard part number.
Built for direct burial
Internal connections protected by resin fill and cable terminations built for mechanical integrity, not for the lowest unit cost.
Any configuration you need
Custom lengths, geometries and cable runs to suit the groundbed, trench or tank design you are working to.
US made, short lead times
Domestic manufacturing with flexible delivery schedules, so the programme is not held up waiting on an overseas coating line.
Anodes specified for onshore work
Driven by the same application tags that power the catalogue filter.
